Solomon youth in grades 6-12 are invited to attend Quake, a youth retreat held in Cincinnati, Ohio, January 9-11.
Quake first started in 1966 and hosts youth events across the United States. Quake's mission: Quake exists to help youth become established in their Christian faith, empowered for Christian living, and enabled to live a life of ministry and Christian leadership.
Quake's Vision Statement: Quake unites with churches to build an experience that makes faith come alive for youth. Through regional events, youth encounter the gospel in a relational setting. They are encouraged to own their faith and embrace a living relationship with Jesus. It is through this relationship that youth will be transformed and empowered to live a life of ministry and Christian leadership.
At Quake, youth will participate in worship. Travis Hartjen is the speaker, and 100 White Flags will perform music each night. Youth also have the opportunity to participate in service projects and sign up for workshops based on their interests.
If your youth is interested in attending Quake, please let Paige know by Sunday, October 19. Solomon Youth Group funds will cover the cost of registration and hotel rooms. Youth will need to have money for food and souvenirs. If any parents would like to chaperone, please let me know.
